The Sharks travel to bottom side Millom on Saturday aiming to end a four-match losing run.

Celtic won their opening two games, including a thrilling 26-25 victory against the Sharks on March 1 but have since taken just one point from their last nine matches.

They host Saddleworth Rangers, who are just one place and two points above them in the league standings before the return derby at Shaw Cross on June 21.

Ross Roebuck grabbed a try in each half for the Sharks in last Saturday’s defeat to Millom. Thomas Rogers and Ben Spaven also scored, with Daniel Flowers adding two goals.

However, visitors Millom weren’t to be denied and claimed the spoils thanks to tries from Kris Walker (two), Lee James and Nathan Slater.

Walker (two) and Ash James crucially added the extras.

Celtic slipped to an eighth defeat of the season, going down 26-18 at Eccles last week.

Celtic trailed 16-0 at the break but responded with two tries and three goals from full-back Pat Foulstone and a Joshua Sykes touchdown.

Jayden Lund had earlier set the ball rolling with a seventh minute try for Eccles and he was followed over by Mark Thomas, Ben Robinson, Martin Judge, Jordan Parker and Michael O’Boyle, with Parker also landing a goal.
