Seniors set for touch RL final
The final round of group matches were moved to Monday after rain scuppered chance to play last Friday and Staincliffe clinched top spot with a 5-4 win over Butchers Arms.
J Maloney (two), G Pritchard, R Toole and John Roadnight were Staincliffe’s scorers. S Pryce and D Berry bagged two apiece for Butchers.

Hide AdStaincliffe dropped only one point in the group, after a draw against Thornhill, while Shaw Cross lost against Dewsbury Celtic and the group winners.
Shaw Cross overcame Batley Boys 11-2 to secure a place in the final. J Ripley led the way with a hat-trick, Mark Chapman, D Senior and James Stephenson scored two each, with Jonny Bates and Chris Squires also crossing.
Chapman is the competition’s leading scorer, two ahead of Roadnight with the pair set go head to head in the final.
Thornhill overcame Dewsbury Moor 2-1 on Monday and the sides will clash again in the third place play-off.

Hide AdM Brierley and K McGrath scored as Dewsbury Celtic beat Partners 2-1.
Celtic now play Butchers Arms in the fifth-place play-off, while Batley Boys and Partners clash in an attempt to avoid the wooden spoon.

Paul Delaney handed out the first-team awards and Craig Smith the A-team prizes.
