“The secret was not beating myself up when the tough moments inevitably come around. The golf course will always win, so it was about staying positive and chasing my dream, just like the trophy says.
“Entering the Bridgestone Chase Your Dream Trophy was the best decision I have made. It was a no-brainer. The captain at my club encourages us to enter everything and when I got the details, I wanted to give it a go.”

He added: “I have admired the likes of Lee Westwood and Justin Rose for years and watch them on the TV. To end up playing with a professional like that really would be special.
“Whatever happens, it has been an amazing experience. I’d like to get into coaching one day as I love the thought of being able to help other players. I’ve got some ability, so hopefully I can build on it, get as low as possible and look to become a professional one day myself.”
