The Rams entertain Rochdale Hornets on Sunday aiming to complete a double following an impressive 38-6 win at Spotland in February.

Rochdale have only won once this season and lie second-bottom, so Neil Kelly’s men have a good chance of ending their losing run.

The Rams then travel to Barrow Raiders for their re-arranged Championship clash on Sunday May 13.

The Rams slipped to a heavy 64-6 defeat away to London Broncos last week but they were competitive for much of the first half and only trailed 12-0 after 37 minutes before conceding a further 52 points.

Coach Neil Kelly said: “We have had a run of tough games and we are disappointed and upset at what has happened. But the performances haven’t been without a bit of an indication we are on the right track.”

“I can’t argue with the half-time score or the 64-6 at the end, but there were some signs in there we are being competitive.

“But in the second half, after they scored their first try, I could not defend the way we played.”
