Teanby has been restricted to just two substitute appearances this season, against Swinton and Toulouse, but could be in line to make his return for Dewsbury’s important game at Odsal this week.

Coach Glenn Morrison opted to give Teanby an extra week’s rest and didn’t play him in last Friday’s 36-8 Challenge Cup win over Newcastle Thunder.

Morrison said: “Jack was probably fine to play but we gave him an extra few days to get fully right.

“Andy Kain turned his ankle (against Newcastle) but I’m hoping he will be okay and this was one of the reasons I wanted to play the game on a Friday night as it gives us a few more days to recover for the next game.”

Jode Sheriffe was also withdrawn from the action and missed the second half with a slight groin strain but Morrison is hopeful he will have recovered to face the Bulls.

Bradford have won three and lost three games this season but remain at the foot of the Championship table on minus six points following their 12-point deduction at the start of the campaign.

The Bulls bowed out of the Challenge Cup last week, losing 21-13 at home to Featherstone Rovers and Dewsbury go into the game buoyed by their first win of 2017.

The Rams will aim to build on their cup success as they bid to earn their first Championship points.

Speaking of his side’s confidence building display against Newcastle, Morrison told the Dewsbury Rams website: “We showed that when we put on the plays that we have trained to do, hit the right pass and hold up the correct defenders we can score points.

“There have been some bad conditions for the games, which doesn’t allow too much rugby to be played, but we just haven’t been creating the correct plays to be able to score points, but we did (against Newcastle) which is pleasing to see.

“We scored some good tries and it’s good to show our home fans that we can play a bit of rugby.”

Dewsbury earned a dramatic 16-14 win at Odsal in the regular part of the 2016 season thanks to a dramatic last minute penalty goal by half-back Paul Sykes but lost on their last visit to the Bulls in the Championship Shield semi-finals.
