The Centurions arrive at Tetley’s Stadium for Sunday’s eagerly anticipated Kingstone Press Championship clash having won their last 22 matches in all competitions.

You have to go back to July 13 for Leigh’s last loss, when they went down 24-16 at Doncaster and Morrison is aware of the task that lies ahead.

Morrison said: “It will be a tough game and they are a quality side but it’s important we come out of the game with our heads held high and put in a performance we can be proud of.

“We have to make sure our defensive efforts are at their best so we can try and stop them playing the free flowing footy we know they like to play.

“We pushed them pretty close last year and beat them the year before but it will be tough.”

Leigh ran out 56-8 winners over Batley last week, while Dewsbury earned a terrific 20-16 victory at London Broncos to move into the top four.

Morrison was delighted at the Rams becoming the first team to win at The Hive this season but believes there is still room for improvement.

He added: “Overall it was a pretty pleasing week and it was great to go there and get the two points but we were still not 100 per cent and there are things we can work on.”

Morrison also paid tribute to Luke Adamson, who looks set to make his 200th career appearance for the Rams on Sunday.

He said: “Luke is a great player and a talker on the field.

“He is just what he needed and complemented with Jacko (Paul Jackson) they have the experience to bring the younger lads through.”

Another healthy crowd is expected, with Leigh set to bring a large travelling support.
