They then travel to Leigh for a re-arranged game next Wednesday when the Centurions could be celebrating clinching top spot.

Coach Glenn Morrison wants his side to continue their impressive form shown in the last fortnight and knows his side must remain focussed for Sunday’s trip to Whitehaven, who are smarting from their 26-0 derby defeat to Workington last week.

Morrison said: “We said we wanted to try and get some momentum going into the split and try and do something in the back end, which we have done in our last couple of games.

“We have got three games in a week now, which is going to be tough but I am sure we have enough bodies to cope.

“When everyone tries their best and gives 100 per cent that is what we are about.

“We have had some knockers but we have also had plenty of support from our fans in the week and I’d like to thank them.”

Karl Pryce limped off in the first half against London with a suspected broken big toe, having scored a brace of tries in the opening 16 minutes.

Shane Grady was ruled out of the Broncos game with a hamstring injury, while Ryan Fieldhouse could face a suspension following his sending off against London.
