Morrison and Thackeray miss out on league awards
Dewsbury Rams coach Glenn Morrison and scrum-half Anthony Thackeray missed out on taking home awards at the Kingstone Press Championship dinner in Manchester on Tuesday.
Morrison was edged out in the coach of the year category, which went to Doncaster’s Paul Cooke.
Leigh half-back Martyn Ridyard beat off stiff competition from Thackeray and Cooke to scoop the coveted Championship player of the year award.
