HEATON kept their unbeaten home record intact in the Pennine League Division Six with a much improved performance at home to Clayton.

Maun and Fallas were always in the thick of things and there were good solid runs by forwards Fallas, T Holderness, Rounding, Hardwick, Taylor and Williams.

The backs also played some good rugby led by Maun, Brown, Doran, D Berry, Forsyth and Prichard.

Heaton went into half-time with a 20-10 lead but then scored a further 22 points to Clayton’s 16.

MoM went to captain A Fallas.

Tries were scored by D Berry, J Edwards (two), T Maun, D Rounding, S Doran and A Fallas (two).

T Maun landed five conversions.

Heaton have three matches to play, starting at home to Wetherby on Saturday. Heaton are third with 22 points, a point behind Sherburn Bears who have finished their fixtures. They are three points behind the leaders Undercliffe Wildboars who have one fixture to play.
