Halifax coach Marshall expects tough Rams test
The sides recorded a win each during last season, with the Rams running out 20-18 victors at Tetley’s Stadium in May and Fax gaining revenge with a 36-24 success at The Shay in August.
However, Dewsbury produced a superb all-round display the last time the sides met, dumping Hallifax out of the play-offs with a 25-0 success.

Hide AdMarshall wasn’t in charge of Fax back in September but knows the challenge his side face.
He said: “I watched the play-off game against Dewsbury last year and I thought they were a good team then.
“They’ve improved even more this season. It will be a difficult game for us but we need to start putting our performances together at home and give our fans something to cheer about and hopefully we can do that on Sunday.”
Halifax have made an inconsistent start to the season with two wins and two defeats and they went down 24-12 at home to Featherstone last Sunday.

Hide AdMarshall added: “It was disappointing not to win at home. We had a fair few chances in that game but we didn’t quite execute our plays well enough.
“There wasn’t a lot in it, we probably bombed two or three chances. Featherstone scrambled really well defensively and put us under pressure but at the same time I thought it was in our hands.”
Halifax full-back Miles Greenwood suffered a double fracture of his leg while there is a doubt over forward Luke Ambler with a rib injury.
