Gibson to run popular Easter kids camp

Dewsbury Rams assistant coach Damian Gibson will be running the club’s popular Easter kids coaching camp.

The Rams are building a fantastic rapport with youngsters in the town and have already handed out 220 junior season tickets free of charge.

The Easter coaching camp always proves popular and is open to anyone, even if a child has never played rugby.

The camp will run between Monday April 13 to Thursday April 16 between 10am to 3pm each day, with coaching taking place on the Tetley’s Stadium pitch.

Sessions are open to boys and girls of all abilities, including those new to rugby league, from the age of four years old and above.

It’s an opportunity for budding young players to be coached at a professional level by Rams first team assistant coach Gibson in a safe and fun environment.

There is no need to pre-book and children can just turn up on the day.

Gibson said: “These camps have proven very popular over the last couple of years and I’m sure this year’s camps will be equally well attended.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming players back from previous sessions as well as new faces.

“We always strive to create an enjoyable and worthwhile environment for kids of all abilities and levels of experience.”

The cost of the camp is £10 per day or a discounted rate of £35 for the full four days and each player will receive an official certificate of attendance.

Youngsters who take part will also receive a point towards obtaining a voucher to spend in the club shop for each day they attend.
