Dewsbury Moor Girls impress to seal hat-trick of victories over East Leeds

Dewsbury Moor Girls secured a hat-trick of victories with the Under-12s, Under-14s and Under-16s all winning games against East Leeds.

The newly formed Under-12s earned a 42-0 victory in their first game as player of the match Nieve Audsley, top tackler Daneka Massey and Mya Enright scored a hat-trick apiece.

Massey (two) and Enright added conversions with support coming from Lydia Day, Emma Crowe and Millie Lyons.

Dewsbury Moor Girls Under-14s class showed after a slow start as they secured a 38-6 victory over a much bigger East Leeds side.

Top tackler Ruby Enright led the way with a hat-trick of tries and five goals, player of the match Tiegan Ramsdan crossed for a brace, while there was one apiece for Nancy Hirst and Gabrielle Akaidere.

Support came from Kellis Abunaw, Brooke Taylor, Molly Hinchliffe, Catlin Johnson, Callie Ellam and Mia Diskin.

The Under-16 Girls won 28-16 in a much tighter game.

Player of the match Georgia Roach scored two tries and kicked two goals, with Isabel Bibby (two) and Charlotte Graham also crossing with support from top tackler Ellie Frain, Lacie Bruines, Jess Day, Ellie Walton, Chloe Pearson, Lameeyaa Noor, Grace Whitehead, Cody Randall and Erin Webb.

Caitlin Beevers was injured during the game and has spent time in hospital this week and everyone at the club wish her a speedy recovery. Moor Under-16s meet Wigan St Judes at Carr Lane on Saturday (12.30pm), the Under-14s host Illingworth (1.30pm), while the Under-12s are due to travel to Brotherton (10.30am).
