Dewsbury fans enjoy exciting play-off journey
Hundreds of supporters made the 100-mile round trip to Leigh and were in terrific voice as they cheered Glenn Morrison’s men until the final hooter, despite being vastly outnumbered in the 2,828 crowd at the Leigh Sports Village.
Leigh supporters also stayed behind to applaud the Rams from the field having seen their side pushed all the way.
Morrison was full of praise for the Rams fans, saying: “Great numbers have come down to support the boys as they have all year.
“We’re disappointed we couldn’t get the win for them. I think we’ve had a season where everyone had that bit of hope that we could go all the way to the Grand Final and I hope the fans enjoyed themselves. We appreciate the support they give, we will see if we can do a bit more for them next season.”
Morrison has done a sterling job off the field to improve the club’s image, while trying to attract a new generation of Rams supporters to the game.
Several season ticket initiatives have been put in place for 2015. Full details in next week’s Reporter,
