The Rams upset the odds to run out 25-0 winners and book a semi-final place away to Leigh Centurions this Sunday.

The Rams are just 80 minutes away from reaching the Grand Final and Morrison said: “We’ve had those kind of performances in us all year but we just haven’t done them for 80 minutes.

“Every game has been like a Grand Final to stay up to start with and then in the finals, which, when you get there is a whole new competition.

“We’re peaking at the right time and to hold Halifax to nil on their own pitch in a knock-out competition is outstanding. The last two weeks I’ve been really proud of the boys.

“We’ve been in a building phase for the last 18 months to two years since I took over and we’ve brought players in to do a job. They are definitely stepping up to do that job and we can now look forward to another round.

“ We went into the (Halifax) game confident we’d get the job done and we didn’t want to go on holiday yet. We had already done some homework on Leigh and we will go there with confidence after the last two wins.

“We looked in each other’s eyes and knew we were there to work for each other and to defend four or five sets on your own line in finals footy against opposition like that shows we mean business.

“We know we are underdogs but we have played Leigh at our place and went down to 12 men and just lost, then went there and got back to 22-22 and didn’t deal with the kick off when we probably should have put that game to bed, so we know if we turn up man for man we can give ourselves a chance.”
