Town struck back with a Callum Phillips try, converted by Carl Forber, but Dewsbury regained the lead when winger Dalton Grant squeezed in at the left corner.

In a nip and tuck first half, centre Decalan Hulme edged Workington back in front with an unconverted try only to then be sin-binned after Town had been put on a team warning.

Dewsbury hit a purple patch after the break, scoring four tries in 11 minutes as half-backs Ben Reynolds and Andy Kain dictated play.

Crookes added his second try, winger Dale Morton leapt to gather a crossfield kick to touch down before Kain dived between the posts following a fierce drive by Matt Groat. Reynolds added all three goals as the Rams led 26-10.
