Bulls make Whitehead available for Dewsbury

Bradford Bulls star Elliot Whitehead will train with Dewsbury Rams with a view to featuring in the Kingstone Press Championship game against Halifax on June 23.

Back rower Whitehead handed in a transfer request to Bradford and has since been left out of the Bulls first team squad.

Rams coach Glenn Morrison said: “Elliot is one of the best back rowers around and he will add strength to our team and will help the younger players.

“I’m sure he will give 100 per cent whichever shirt he pulls on but I hope the situation is sorted quickly so we can see him back in Super League where he belongs.”

Kane Bentley, who has been named in the French World Cup squad, was also due to join up with the Rams this week.
