Dewsbury Rams coach Glenn Morrison believes talented youngster Aaron Brown will come back better than ever next season.

Brown’s season was curtailed when he suffered a knee ligament injury in the Challenge Cup defeat to Wigan Warriors on April 4.

The stand off or loose forward had been in scintillating form until his season was brought to a premature end but the Rams have seen enough to snap up the former Leeds Rhinos Academy player for the 2015 campaign.

Brown was nominated for the Kingstone Press Championship Player of the Year Award last season, having made 24 appearances and scored tries.

Brown played in Dewsbury’s opening eight matches this season, scoring tries in the 76-10 Challenge Cup victory over amateurs West Hull and in the 23-16 Championship defeat to Whitehaven, before picking up a season ending injury against Wigan.

Morrison is delighted to have another of his squad signed up for next year, following hot on the heels on Shane Grady, also pledged his future to the Rams earlier this week.

With star scrum-half Anthony Thackeray and forward Tommy Gallagher also on board, things are already starting to take shape for next season.

Morrison said: “Aaron out with a long-term injury at the moment, but we believe he’ll be back bigger and better next year.

“Aaron is a star of the future and we were happy to show faith in him after he showed faith in us by signing up last year.”
