Back to back penalties put the Bulldogs straight back on attack and Liam Walmsley gathered Ben Black’s terrific pass to storm over and Gareth Moore converted.

Moore jinked his way over and converted two minutes from full-time before Jonathan Schofield stormed over to rescue a bonus point for the Rams.

Greg Johnson had given Batley a 22nd minute lead with a try which Tom Hemingway converted and it remained 6-0 at half-time.

Playing up the slope in the second half, Dewsbury hit back in style as Dale Morton gathered Schofield’s kick to dive over for a superb try and Bobby Goulding levelled matters with the conversion.

However, it was the Bulldogs who finished strongly with the three late tries earning them victory.
