Batley Bulldogs earn bragging rights with victory over Dewsbury Rams
The sides were locked 6-6 with just 12 minutes remaining before a late flurry of tries secured Batley’s win.
A period of sustained Bulldogs pressure resulted in Greg Johnson racing over for a decisive 68th minute try which edged the home side 10-6 ahead.

Hide AdBack to back penalties put the Bulldogs straight back on attack and Liam Walmsley gathered Ben Black’s terrific pass to storm over and Gareth Moore converted.
Moore jinked his way over and converted two minutes from full-time before Jonathan Schofield stormed over to rescue a bonus point for the Rams.
Greg Johnson had given Batley a 22nd minute lead with a try which Tom Hemingway converted and it remained 6-0 at half-time.
Playing up the slope in the second half, Dewsbury hit back in style as Dale Morton gathered Schofield’s kick to dive over for a superb try and Bobby Goulding levelled matters with the conversion.
However, it was the Bulldogs who finished strongly with the three late tries earning them victory.
