Batley Bulldogs confirm squad numbers for 2026 Betfred Championship season
Key signing Ben Reynolds has been given the number six shirt in Batley Bulldogs’ squad numbers which have been confirmed for the 2026 Betfred Championship season.
Reynolds has arrived from Featherstone Rovers and will lend his vast experience and playmaker abilities to the Bulldogs’ efforts in the forthcoming season.
The decision of head coach James Ford is an early indicator that he will be used in the halves although Batley also have long established and successful half-back partners in Josh Woods and Ben White.
Woods has retained his number seven shirt while White will wear 14 in the campaign ahead.

Both have the first chance to stake their claim with Reynolds currently carrying over a suspension from his Featherstone days in 2025.
The Bulldogs have brought in a number of fresh faces this year, but nine of last year’s squad have kept their starting shirts.
Of the other new boys, prop Robson Stevens will wear the number 13 jersey, while Wesley Bruines takes four and Kieran Brining five.
Bulldogs’ squad numbers for 226 are: 1 Robbie Butterworth; 2 Joe Burton; 3 Oliver Greensmith; 4 Wesley Bruines; 5 Kieran Brining; 6 Ben Reynolds; 7 Josh Woods; 8 Adam Gledhill; 9 Alistair Leak; 10 Luke Cooper; 11 Dane Manning; 12 Lucas Walshaw; 13 Robson Stevens; 14 Ben White; 15 Nyle Flynn; 16 Michael Ward; 17 Liam Kirk; 18 Evan Hodgson; 19 Jonah Parsons; 20 Jack Hudson; 21 Luca Atkinson; 22 Jay Scriven; 23 Felix Ellis; 24 Paul Foulstone.
After winning their first hit out of the new season against local rivals Dewsbury Rams on Boxing Day Batley now play their second warm-up match at home to Sheffield Eagles this Sunday.
The following week brings the start of the Championship campaign with the Bulldogs due to host Featherstone Rovers, but the game remains in doubt at this stage with Rovers still awaiting confirmation of their membership of the RFL after going into administration. A decision is expected this week.
