The Altricham & District AC runner finished almost 30 seconds ahead of nearest challenger Chris Parr of Gateshead Harriers as the Jordanian retained the title last year.

Rezeq finished in a time of 31 minutes two seconds, 38 seconds slower than his 2014 run and one minutes 51 seconds outside his personal best time but it was enough to ease him to victory ahead of Parr (31.30).

Lee Van Haeften of Herne Hill Harriers was third in a time of 31.57, while Shona Fletcher (Richmond & Zetland Harriers) won the women’s race and was 51st overall in a time of 35.57.
