T3 Farm Challenge going virtual for 2020 due to coronavirus pandemic

The fundraising event has raised over £30,000 for charities in Kirklees since being established six years ago.
The challenge was founded by Danny Thomas, Katie Ellis, Sarah Brooks and James Ashton and is still driven forward by Thomas, Ashton and Thomas’s brother Michael Micklewaite.

Instead, people are being asked to do their own 5km run or walk or set up an obstacle course in their back garden.
“We like to get the businesses involved who sponsor the obstacles and get the local rugby teams to come and do it,” said Thomas, with Craft Union committed to sponsoring the next four events.
He continued: “We are going to ask people to walk or run 5km and then do an obstacle course in their back garden and donate £1.

“It is for all abilities so anyone can get involved.
“We just want as many people to get on board and raise as much money as possible.”
Organisers previously donated the money raised to Kirkwood Hospice but have chosen the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice as this year’s charity.
T-shirts will also be on sale with all profits going to the charity.

“We want people to get it done on the weekend starting June 13 and then people can post a video or a picture with the hashtag #T3FC.”
