Dewsbury Rams v Leigh Centurions - Head coach Lee Greenwood hopes to keep adding to squad after campaign gets underway

LEE Greenwood feels that his Dewsbury Rams side  - which faces Leigh Centurions tomorrow night - could look completely different by the half-way point of the campaign.

The Rams open their 2020 Championship season with a home clash against the Centurions, who will be eyeing a play-off spot after a fourth-placed finish last term.

Dewsbury have added a number of new faces throughout the off-season but Greenwood will continue to be on the lookout for new players once the competitive action kicks off.

“Most teams will probably still bring players in, that is not just us. That is teams going for Super League and the teams trying to stay up,” said Greenwood.

“A lot of clubs have dual-reg and loans will come into it as well.

"I am sure the teams that take the field in round one won’t be the teams you see half way through the season. There is a lot of that, it is such a competitive division.”

Dewsbury ended their pre-season preparations with a victory over Bradford Bulls two weeks ago and have also faced Keighley Cougars and Batley Bulldogs in their warm-up matches.

Meanwhile, Leigh finalised their preparations for the new season with a 12-6 success over Super League neighbours Wigan Warriors last Thursday evening.
