The new arrival is most adept at centre and played his junior rugby in Australia before moving to West Wales Raiders ahead of the 2020 season.

He only played one game for the Welsh club before the season was cut short by the Covid-19 pandemic but Lee Greenwood was more than happy to give Liu an opportunity to prove himself at a higher level.

“Bayley wanted to move up north and progress in the game in this country. Having done some homework and speaking to him, I was more than happy to give him the opportunity to prove himself,” said Greenwood

“He has the ability and size to do well for us and can play in a few positions. I look forward to working with him in November.”

Liu was eager to remain in the United Kingdom following his brief experience with West Wales.

“I came over to play under a past coach from Australia, due to Covid I didn’t get to play much, but my partner and I have enjoyed the experience of living in the UK so far,” he added.
