Nostalgia: Plans for Spen Bottoms site
West Yorkshire County Councillors visited the Spen Bottoms site, which was to be turned into a country park.
Work on the £88,000 project was expected to begin in October, 1984.
The council was expected to fund to £52,000 towards the project’s budget.
