MINSTERIAL VISIT David Waddington meets members of Heckmondwike's Pakistani community.
David Waddington, an immigration minister in Margaret Thatcher’s government, was welcomed to Heckmondwike by Mr A Cheema in July 1984.

The minister was touring the country to hear the concerns and problems of ethinic minorities and met with some of Heckmondwike’s Pakistani community.
