Nostalgia: Helena receives flowers fit for a queen

Helena Keegan, 10, of Shirley Avenue, Wyke, was crowned and presented with a posy of flowers by the commissioner for Norwood division, Mrs Julie Wilson. Her attendants were her fellow members of the Elves Six – Catherine Hodges, Lynne Woods, Amanda Sherred, Samantha McCarthy, all nine years old, and Sonia Keach, seven.

The Elves were presented with an engraved cup and the attendants each received a spray of flowers.

The presentations were made in recognition of the Six’s efforts throughout the year in such areas as attendance and involvement in games and church parades.
