Nostalgia: Heckmondwike pupils were a force to be reckoned with
Staff and pupils of Heckmondwike’s Fairfield School came up with a sci-fi scheme to raise funds in 1984.
The fundraisers dressed up as the Star Wars characters, including villain Darth Vader and Jedi knights, “used the force” to fetch £95 during a fair on the school’s sports evening.
