DEWSBURY Rams’ new signing Aaron Brown is relishing the challenges that lie ahead and can’t wait to resume pre-season training next week.

The 20-year-old has joined Glenn Morrison’s revolution at Tetley’s Stadium from Leeds Rhinos and Brown is hoping to play a key part in bringing success to Dewsbury.

Brown has played stand-off, loose-forward, second row and hooker and admits he will be happy to play anywhere Morrison asks him.

He was one of the Rhinos’ stand-out players in last season’s Valvoline Cup, when Leeds lost to Warrington in the final, and is now looking forward to making the step up to the Championship.

Brown said: “I just want to get back to what I love doing — playing rugby. I will play anywhere Glenn thinks I’m best suited, I don’t mind.

“The Championship is a tough division but I have played against a lot of the lads who have signed and they are good players. There is no reason why we can’t bring success here.”

Brown was signed for Leeds from Oldham amateur side Waterhead, where he played all his junior career, and the youngster is already looking forward to pulling on the Rams shirt against Batley on Boxing Day.

He added: “I’ve heard a lot about the derby over there and what a tough game it is to play in.

“I can’t wait to get involved and go out to try and get us the win in that game.”
