Morrison vows to play expansive brand of entertaining rugby

GLENN Morrison has told Rams supporters that he likes his teams to throw the ball out and play entertaining rugby.

The new coach was speaking at Wednesday’s Fans Forum, when he answered questions from a number of supporters who packed into the Royal Suite at Tetley’s Stadium.

“I like playing expansive rugby, free-flowing rugby and that is what I will be bringing. I like my teams to score plenty of points.

“We want to sign Super League quality players but we will not be a feeder club for anybody.

“We want to bring in some quality players and I have good links with the Bulls and Wildcats and already I have had other Super League clubs phoning me about players.

“I’m sure we can put together a quality team capable of competing in what is a tough Championship division.”

Morrison will sit down with the current squad in the next few days to discuss plans for next season, while he has also somebody in mind who he would like to appoint as assistant coach.

With all the current players out of contract, Morrison faces a hectic period to bring a squad together before pre-season training begins in the first week of November.
