Sulieman and Zaman record split decision wins on road

Sulieman went into his bout on the back of two controversial losses and faced Issac Burgan, from the Ingles Gym, in a 64KG bout at the Shiregreen WMC last Thursday.

Both boxers came out giving their all and landed some hard and clean shots but it was Sulieman who broke away and started to use his range and box behind his jab and using his clever footwork to make his opponent miss and land his blows.

Burgan came out and caught Sulieman with a sharp one-two combination at the start of the second round.

Burgan had the upper hand was and backed Sulieman onto the ropes while he landed his shots and by the end of the round, the fight was level.

Knowing that he had to win the third well, Sulieman went back to his boxing.

The KBW boxer opened up his opponent with some sharp jabs.

Sulieman stayed in close landing to the head of Burgan then going down to the body.

His opponent was trying to land his shots but with no joy and Sulieman continued to showcase his boxing skills and after the gruelling bout he was awarded the bout via a split points decision.

KBW’s Zaman travelled to the Sheffield Works and Sports Club last Saturday and faced Sheffield City ABC boxer Sam Linley at 70KG.

Zaman was only in his second bout, while Linley was making his debut.

Zaman took control from the start, using his jab to find his range, while keeping Linley at bay.

Linley tried to control the second round and had some success to the body, backing Zaman onto the ropes to take a share of the round.

Zaman changed tactics in the third and kept Linley behind his jab and landed some nice combinations, including a right upper cut, left hook to win on a split decision.

Zaman, Sulieman and other KBW fighters will on their home charity show at the Orchid Banqueting Hall in Dewsbury on December 15 in aid of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
