Moor to host cup matches
DEWSBURY MOOR stage their annual invitation Boddingtons Trophy competition starting this Saturday and Sunday and continuing the following weekend all at Heckmondwike Road.
Tomorrow Batley Boys play Thornhill and on Sunday the hosts play Huddersfield St Josephs. The two losing teams will meet on Saturday August 20 to decide the third place position. The final will be on Sunday August 21. All matches kick-off at 2.30pm.
The Trojans have recruited well including much travelled former Dewsbury and Batley utility player Darren Robinson. Ben and Luke Eastwood plus Sanchez and Chesanco James have joined from St Josephs while second row Ben Kendall and hooker Scott Green have returned after spells at Siddal and Oulton respectively.
Brad Schofield has signed open age forms, Tom Corley is back at the club while former BARLA player Craig Holmes is keen to make a comeback after injury problems.
