Dewsbury Moor produced a superb display to stun Hunslet Parkside and book their place in the BARLA National Cup last eight with a 20-6 victory.

Moor fielded 10 players under the age of 20 but it was the experienced Peter Robinson who set up the opening try, dummying the defence before sending Ash Boddy over for the try. Hooker Bradley Foster converted.

Hunslet tried to hit back but were kept in check by centre pairing James Eatherley and Bartley O’Brian.

Alex Jeffs, Tobias Richardson, Adam Barrett and James Samme drove Moor upfield before Boddy sent Lewis Holiday over for the second try.

Hunslet responded well and scored a converted try before half-time, reducing the arrears to 10-6.

Youngsters Dean Carr and Caden Wilkinson were introduced for their first team debuts and the two 17-year-olds made an immediate impact with testing runs.

Jordan Foster came into the attacking line to create and overlap and Holiday raced in at the corner for his second try.

Brad Foster added the touchline goal as Moor led 16-6.

Tempers threatened to boil over but the referee did well to keep things in check.

Moor ended the game with a classic try as good build up involving Matt Shaw, Cameron Bruce and Samme saw the ball moved smartly to George Croisdale, who powered past several defenders on his way to scoring the match-clinching try. Moor can now look forward to a quarter-final clash against Sharlston Rovers.
