Sedge were forced into a surprise change as Dom Riordan played in goal in place of the regular custodian, while they handed debuts to Eli Hay, a new signing from Brighouse Town, and Sam Talbot.

Tadcaster had the better of the first half and should have been ahead inside two minutes when Josh Barrett somehow hit the ball over the crossbar from two yards out following a lovely cross.

Albion had three more good chances but again poor finishing let the league leaders down down.

Tadcaster did manage to take a 37th minute lead when Danny Critchlow came inside and fired over Dom Riordan and into the net

Liversedge came into the game after the break as substitute Ben Johnson had a couple of chances to equalise.

Johnson shot just wide and, following good play on the left by Gibril Bojang, Johnson again fired wide of the post.

New forward Hay also had a good chance but he too shot wide as another opportunity to level went begging for the visitors.

As the conditions worsened, Liversedge were dealt a huge blow when defender Talbot was sent off for a second yellow card.

Albion were then awarded a penalty on 82 minutes and captian Nick Thompson made no mistake to convert and give his side another three points.

Liversedge: Dom Riordan, Haigh (capt), White, James Riordan, Talbot, Whitaker, Bojang, Thompson, Grogan (Johnson 21, (Goodwin 71), Hay (Murdam 83), Newton. Sub not used: Wilkinson.
