Leaders Navigation blown off course

THE Heavy Woollen Sunday League swung back into action last week and there was a shock result when Premier Division leaders Navigation suffered a 7-0 defeat to a rampant St John Fisher.

Dominic Riordan and Rob Bordman both hit hat-tricks, with Richard Burke bagging the other.

Navigation are still top by a point, while Fisher move up to seventh.

Fifth-place Tingley WMC had David Ward (two), Danny Barton, Simon Poole and Matthew Bannister to thank as they won 5-3 at Crown Leeds Road (Dominic Karimi two and Ben Davies).

Danny Walding fired a hat-trick as Birkenshaw eased to a 5-2 win at Birstall St Patricks.
