Lawson has sights on cup double
Heaton welcome Bradford League strugglers Bradford & Bingley to Bennett Lane in the semi-finals of the Sovereign Health Care Priestley Cup on Sunday (start 1pm) bidding to reach a second showpiece in eight days.
Heaton are aiming to reach a first Priestley final in 13 years and having already booked a home Heavy Woollen final against New Farnley next month, Lawson has his sights firmly set on winning some silverware this time.

Hide AdThe Priestley Cup is the only major trophy playing chairman John Carruthers has never won and he too will be eager to ensure his side get another crack.
The other semi-final is between Pudsey St Lawrence and Lightcliffe, with the final set for Farsley on Sunday August 25.
Heaton’s second team are also bidding to reach a major final on Sunday when they travel to Baildon in the Priestley Shield semis.
The Central Yorkshire League’s first trophy of the season is up for grabs on Sunday when the Twenty20 Cup finals day takes place at Ossett.

Hosts Ossett, who are planning to put on a memorable day for spectators, then tackle Caribbean in the second semi (1.30pm) before the final at around 4.30pm.
