Jawaad reached the final by defeating Jordan Yates, from Rawthorpe ABC in the semis.

Jawaad was only competing in his fifth bout but boxed cleverly to claim a unanimous points decision on all the judges cards against the more experienced Yeats.

Jawaad then faced Flynn, who boasted a 25-plus bouts record, but despite coming up against a vastly more experienced fighter, the KBW youngster was not fazed.

He boxed defensively and in a closely fought contest won a split decision making him the Yorkshire champion at 56kg.

Jawaad’s success saw him become the fifth Yorkshire champion out of the KBW gym this season, with one of their boxers going on to claim a national title and another reaching the national quarter-finals.

KBW has an ever growing stable of impressive boxers, including their first to turn professional in Saif Cheema.
