Heaton duo win HW golf Medal
HANGING Heaton GC captain John Newsome, hosted the Heavy Woollen District Golf League annual medal for the Arnold Skinner Trophy last Tuesday.
The winning pair of Richard Pollard and Ian Sidebottom came from the home club with a net score of 63. Ian is also captain of the Heavy Woollen League, which features eight clubs, all of whom were represented at the event.
In second on 65 were John Oldroyd and Brian Wood representing Low Laithes and Hanging Heaton while Low Laithes pair John Stead and B Earnshaw were third.
Fourth: M Curning and Peter Diggin (Low Laithes) Fifth: Dave Searby and Richard Oldroyd (Low Laithes). Sixth: Stewart Wailes and Nigel Clough (Hanging Heaton).
