Gary Sykes records points victory over Dean Mills

It was Sykes's first outing for seven months and although he started the six-round contest slowly, he went on to dominate.

Sykes went close to forcing a first stoppage of Mills's career but settled for a resounding points win.

Star referee Howard Foster, from Doncaster, judged the contest 59-55 to the Dewsbury man, who recorded the 20th win from 22 outings in his professional career.
