GARY Sykes retained his British super featherweight title with a stunning victory over Carl Johanneson in Huddersfield on Saturday night.
The Dewsbury Moor star was floored in the ninth round by a fierce right shot but he beat the count and went on to record a thrilling points victory.
Sykes, 27, took the decision 116-112, 115-112, 115-113 on the three judges cards to the delight of his partizan supporters.
