Robins: Huddersfield Town deserved more at Wigan Athletic

Huddersfield Town boss Mark Robins was disappointed that his team returned from their trip to Championship rivals Wigan Athletic with nothing to show for their efforts.

Leon Barnett’s header gave the Latics the lead on 21 minutes but the Terriers levelled on the stroke of half-time when Oliver Norwood’s shot deflected in off Ryan Shotton.

It was the hosts who prevailed however, Nick Powell, on loan from Manchester United, powering home the winner four minutes after the break.

Robins was pleased with Town’s effort, if not the result, saying: “I thought we did well. The over-riding emotion is one of disappointment because we have gifted them two goals.

“I am disappointed that we’ve not taken at least a point.”
