Record-breaker Rhodes

HUDDERSFIELD Town’s Jordan Rhodes has broken the club’s record for most goals in a season.

James Linington, the referee for Tuesday night’s game at Leyton Orient has awarded the first Huddersfield Town goal to Rhodes, it was originally attributed to Orient player Jimmy Smith.

It now means Rhodes has scored 36 league goals in a season beating the record of 1920’s Town players George Brown and Samuel Taylor.

Scottish international Rhodes has scored 38 goals in all competitions this season, Tuesday night’s hat-trick is his fifth of the season.

Rhodes will be seeking to increase his tally on Saturday in the televised Galpharm showdown with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, kick-off 12.30pm and on Easter Monday at Bournemouth.
