The United side was a mix of experienced players needing valuable game time and young professionals making their way in the game and they turned in a good display in front of a crowd of 2,177.

One of the youngsters, Ross Killock, added a third in the second half with the defender heading home a cross after a corner had not been cleared.
Striker Hunt was taken off after an hour, with Saturday’s opening Championship game against Brighton in mind, but his replacement, Lewis Walters, also looked dangerous and Leeds continued to dominate.

It was a decent final pre-season workout for first team squad players Austin, Smith, Zac Thompson and Adam Drury as well as another step on the road to recovery from injury for attacking midfielder Chris Dawson, who completed 70 minutes.
