Dewsbury Rangers Under-13s aim to conquer Europe on Easter trip to Holland

Rangers will come up against teams from all over Europe and beyond in a two-day tournaments.

The trip will provide a fantastic opportunity for the team to show how far they have progressed and also gives the youngsters chance to meet and play against children from different country’s and cultures.

The team have managed to raise £5,000 to fund the trip and to help buy new kit.

As well as their own fundraising, thanks to the hard work from players, parents and coaches, the team are grateful to sponsorship Sainsbury’s, Asda and DH Transport.

Rangers Under-13s coach Dave Turver is looking forward to taking the youngsters on the trip and has praised the efforts of all those who have helped.

He said: “I would like to personally thank everyone involved who has helped us along the way, especially the club and committee for their support. We will be the smartest team at the tournament.”

The Under-13s team train on the 3G pitch at St John Fisher High School on Thursdays between 7pm to 8pm, with children in school year 8 able play in this age group

The team ethos is to play quick, open passing football and training is based around team play and individual skill and players of all ability are welcome.
