Five-star Liversedge out-class Winterton
Liversedge produced a five-star first half performance to out-class Winterton Rangers in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division on Wednesday.
The Clayborners had only played one competitive game since December 28 but showed no ill effects from their lack of activity on a midweek trip to Scunthorpe.
Sedge raced into a 5-0 lead before half-time thanks to goals from Gibril Bojang (three minutes), Joel Farrar (eight),Matt Thompson (19), Billy Grogan (38) and Brook Newton (43 )
Declan Marshall pulled an early second half goal back for Winterton but couldn’t prevent a 5-1 defeat as Liversedge gained a confidence boosting win.
