Fijian winger makes an impact with Celtic

Celtic have an interesting newcomer in Fijian winger Inoke Naioko, who marked his debut with two tries last Saturday. Coach Paul Heaton said: “Two of our former players, Martin Pountney and Lee Wilkins, were at a gym in Birstall and saw him and invited him to join.

“Inoke didn’t want to play at first because he was getting married but he kept training with us and this was a good start.

“He is not big but fast and very powerful, all the lads want to be on his side in contact training.”

Shaw Cross Sharks try to avoid a third successive defeat when they visit Waterhead, a match between two of the highest scorers in the division.

Thornhill Trojans take what should be another step towards the Pennine Division Two title when they visit bottom club West Bowling A. There could be a doubt here because the home side have already missed matches.

Hanging Heaton, after their first league defeat of the season, continue their bid for the Division Six title when they visit Guiseley.
