Fans urged to back terracing fundraiser

DEWSBURY Rams are appealing to supporters to back a fundraising dinner on January 18, 2013.

The dinner is being staged to raise money towards the construction of a new terrace at the Owl Lane end of Tetley’s Stadium.

The Rams have enlisted the help of renowned MC Pete Emmett to host the evening and he will be joined by head coach Glenn Morrison and members of the first team squad.

Long-standing Rams fan Graham Beaumont is leading the terracing project which, when complete, will allow supporters to stand behind the posts at that end of the ground.

Mr Beaumont said: “Pete Emmett is very well known throughout rugby league and sport in general. He’s very entertaining and will make sure the night goes off with a bang.

“Our supporters do a fantastic job of backing this club financially and in many other ways but what we’re working towards here will serve the club for generations.”

The evening includes a three course buffet and starts at 7.30pm in the Royal Suite.
