East Bierley host Yorkshire for Hamilton’s benefit
EAST Bierley CC will stage a benefit game for popular opening batsman Gavin Hamilton this Sunday.
Yorkshire are expected to field a strong side to take on Bierley in a Twenty20 game when a large crowd is expected at South View Road (start 3pm).
Hamilton played for Yorkshire earlier in his career, during which time he earned his one England cap.
He went on to captain Scotland until relinquishing the post in 2011.
Admission to Sunday’s game is £3 for adults and £1.50 for children and senior citizens.
