Dewsbury Rams up to second place after win at Swinton Lions

Dewsbury Rams made it two wins from two on Sunday as they beat hosts Swinton Lions 34-16 to move up to second place in the Co-operative Championship.

Tries from Steve Crossley and Craig Cook, both converted by Patch Walker, saw Dewsbury lead 12-0 after only nine minutes.

Swinton scored twice to narrow the deficit to four points but that was as close as they got as Ayden Faal and George Flanagan added further tries to see the Rams lead 26-10 at the break.
