Dewsbury Rams edged out by Leigh Centuions

DEWSBURY Rams suffered a 34-18 defeat at home to Leigh Centurions in the Co-operative Championship last Sunday, although they went much closer to causing an upset than the score suggests.

Dewsbury deservedly led the high-flying Centurions 18-16 but Leigh fought back with three late tries to snatch victory.

Leigh’s final try, deep into injury time, denied the Rams a bonus point their display deserved.

Patch Walker, James Craven and George Flanagan were the Rams try scorers, all of which were converted by Walker.
