Dewsbury and Batley miss out as World Cup venues
DEWSBURY and Batley have missed out on being selected to stage one of next year’s Rugby League World Cup matches after the host venues were announced today (Monday).
Limerick, in Ireland, Wrexham, in Wales, Avignon and Perpignan, in France, along with Bristol have all been awarded group matches but no games will be coming to North Kirklees.
Dewsbury’s Tetley’s Stadium and Batley’s Mount Pleasant have not been as training venues for competing teams.
Huddersfield’s Galpharm Stadium is the nearest venue to be awarded matches.
